- A partly political environment required the bundling and Centralize resources and processes a high level of Communication and planning
- One historically developed structure and process landscape has so far made it difficult to uniformly implement data projects and initiatives

- Data is a strategically important pillar for the company and a central data unit has been established
- Experts and interested parties of data topics are spread over several organizational parts and Responsibilities and abilities are not sufficiently clear
- No uniform goal, methodology and infrastructure fFor data topics
Solution
- Decision for Hub & Spoke organizational form, thus promoting efficient data management through central control (hub) and optimized networking with various divisions of the company (spokes), the established structure is thus largely retained, which can counteract conflicts of interest.
- Optimized networking through centralized reporting, targeted management of initiatives and the creation of a regular exchange format
- Central management and strengthening of specialist departments (spokes) by sending experts, regular transfer of knowledge and recruiting support
- Centralized management through targeted coordination of Hub to Spoke, short & medium-term recommendations for action and key topics for the Spokes
- Program with Focus topics Organization, Architecture and Culture was developed individually for the company
- All stakeholders and people interested in data were invited to Kick-off and in the respective Topic packages involved and informs
- They then developed tailored to the customer Mission & Vision Statements for a future data organization
- The transformation of the data organization into a Hub & Spoke model was initiated and is continuously supported including hiring support

A glimpse into the future
The customer's teams have jointly defined, prioritized and implemented various use cases. The creation of a central data cloud based on Google Cloud is currently in progress.
